About Lise Poulsen
Art has always been more than just painting for me, it is a way of connecting emotionally with the world around us and preserving moments, memories, and living beings that deserve to be celebrated. Through vibrant colour, expressive movement, and detailed realism, I aim to create artwork that feels alive and emotionally meaningful.

Wildlife and conservation focused painting form a central part of my artistic practice. I am deeply inspired by the beauty, vulnerability, and spirit of animals, and I use painting as a way to encourage appreciation, awareness, and preservation of the natural world. Through expressive wildlife artwork, I hope to create an emotional connection between the viewer and the subject, reminding us of the importance of protecting the environments and species that continue to inspire us.
Alongside my wildlife work, I also create luxury commissioned portraiture, capturing beloved pets, people, and meaningful personal connections in a way that brings warmth, individuality, and emotional depth into a home. Each commission is approached with great care and attention to detail, creating bespoke artwork that feels both timeless and deeply personal.
I believe art should feel emotionally resonant and lasting, something that not only elevates a space aesthetically, but also carries genuine meaning for the people who live with it. Whether painting wildlife or portrait commissions, my intention is always to create work that feels alive, expressive, and connected to its subject.
Creating art has always given me a sense of freedom and calm, and I hope that feeling translates into every piece I create. Through colour, movement, and atmosphere, I aim to create paintings that invite people to pause, connect emotionally, and appreciate both the beauty of nature and the stories that shape our lives.
My work has been exhibited internationally in group exhibitions across Los Angeles, Denmark, and London, allowing me to share both my wildlife and portrait collections with wider audiences while continuing conversations around emotional storytelling, contemporary art, and conservation through painting.
