I painted this silverback gorilla to capture the quiet strength and wisdom in his gaze, but also to remind us of his fragility. His deep, amber eyes hold a lifetime of stories, yet his kind faces the threat of extinction. The cool blue tones echo a sense of calm, while also symbolising the urgent need to protect these magnificent creatures before they disappear from our world. This original painting by Lise Poulsen, an award nominated wildlife artist, reflects her dedication to wildlife preservation through art.
